About Tambov State University
Derzhavin Tambov State University, founded in 1918, is the largest educational institution in the region, a modern scientific and educational center that keeps up the best traditions of a classical university.
Derzhavin University is the winner of the program of state support and development of universities “Priority 2030”.
Nowadays 14, 400 students from 60 regions of Russia and 55 countries of the world are currently studying at Derzhavin University. More than 200 educational programs are available for them at all levels of education: from General Medicine to Acting, from Pedagogical Education to Physics and Biotechnology, from Sports Management to Applied Informatics.
Students have the opportunity to acquire IT competencies at the “Digital Department”. At the same time, students studying IT, can receive an enhanced training for a new type of professional activity.
The scientific infrastructure of the university includes the technopark “Derzhavinsky” – a scientific technological and technical platform for the implementation of innovative projects; accelerator; boiling point; thinking club; startup studio; center for collective use of scientific equipment; research institutes; scientific centers and laboratories; accreditation and simulation center; 4 dissertation councils; joint student scientific council.
Derzhavin University has more than 100 student scientific and creative associations, centers, public organizations, clubs and volunteer groups.
There are excellent material conditions for physical education and sports. On the territory of the university there is an ice skating rink “Derzhavinsky”, a health-improving and rehabilitation center “Parallel”, a fitness center “Atletico Yug”, a sports palace “Antey”, a football field with artificial turf.
Derzhavin University is a brand known not only in Russia but also abroad. The University is among the top 10 universities in Russia in terms of the number of foreign students.
